Alicia and Ethan first met back at Drexel University in 2010 when she friend requested him on Facebook. After an awkward introduction they went their separate ways for the remainder of college. Alicia, a member of the honors college, dedicated herself to her studies and her desire to become a Physician Assistant. Ethan, a member of his fraternity, dedicated himself to making sure he graduated from Drexel. For more than a decade the two alums remained Facebook friends. In the fall of 2021, their paths crossed on a dating app and the two agreed to a first date. On a rooftop overlooking the Philadelphia skyline, the chemistry between the two was undeniable. They discovered a mutual love and borderline addiction to Diet Coke and an unyielding sense of humor. It was the best first date either had ever been on, and within no time they were dating. There was one final test Ethan had to pass called the “Newton test”. Alicia had rescued her dog Newton from a shelter. What Newton lacked in brains, he made up for in judging people’s character. Newton immediately melted into Ethan’s arms and in no time the deal was sealed. Alicia and Ethan had become inseparable. They traveled together, they moved into a house together, and they added a tiny little kitten named Oliver to their family. They were not only dating but they were also best friends. A little over a year after their first date, Ethan and Alicia were back on the same rooftop where they had their first date. The rooftop was adorned with candles and flowers. Ethan bent down on one knee and asked Alicia to marry him. Without hesitation, Alicia said yes! He put a beautiful ring he had custom made for her on her finger.
