Swimming in cenotes is something that you can only do in Tulum, and that will quickly become your favorite activity in the Riviera Maya. Cenotes are sinkholes, many of them opening up into vast subterranean worlds, filled with tunnels and lagoons.
visiting the Tulum ruins will be easily done by taxi or even by bicycle. If you do want to combine the Tulum ruins with other activities and make a day of it, you do have a few choices. The Tulum ruins are the only ones built by the sea, so wear your swimsuit and head down to the beach for a refreshing dip.

The Tulum reef is part of the Mesoamerican Reef System and an ideal place to snorkel. You can book a day trip easily while in town at a tourist booth. We will most likely also arrange a private charter catamaran for Monday, January 27th for those guest that are staying. If you are interested let us know.
The beachside of Tulum in the Hotel Zonera is all private beach clubs. You can soak up the sun at Maria Del Mar if you are staying there or you can access almost any hotel beach club by just paying for a drink.
