Hayley took us to vacation in Galveston, Texas, on the last full night there she made reservations for "Katies Seafood". She wanted me to experience a fresh catch of seafood and Galveston Blue crab, our luck it was not the way I wanted it cooked. (Spoiler alert, we hated the food lol) Hayley made me dress up and wanted to take pictures on the beach. I was throwing a fit because I did not want to take pictures, I wanted to go back to the air bnb and sleep. Thankfully she made me go! When we got to the beach we noticed the tide was low, we walked on the jetty and looked above of the ocean. I noticed a big beautiful shell that looked like you could buy from the store. I attempted to walk on the rocks to get a better look, knowing Hayley she went into action trying to get the shell for me. The lifeguard yelled and whistled at us to get down, Hayley went to talk to the lifeguard who we later found out his name was Diego. She told him that she was trying to propose and that her future fiancé was wanting this shell, she talked him into letting her walk down there and get it for me. He was smiling ear to ear, I remember thinking… this guy must love his job! Hayley came back with the shells smiling, we set up the phone and started the video of us, we did our poses, and she points to our left and says "Look at that shell", as I look and see nothing I walk to the phone to turn it off. Hayley says my name and I turned around and looked over and see she was down on one knee. As Hayley starts her talking I see tears coming down her face I grab her, and after a while of our embrace she said “is that a yes?” Of course it’s a yes! I was waiting on you to put the ring on! Lol Did I mention she wouldn't let me keep the shells and we both hated the food? LOL We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives.
