One day I went to the Crab Trap in Destin with some girlfriends, we were standing around talking by our cars when a guy riding a skateboard in the parking lot caught my attention. I told my friends that I thought he was really cute and one of my friends decided to yell at him from across the parking lot until he finally stopped and she asked him if I could have his number. From then on we’ve been pretty inseparable.

I was told we were going to a nice dinner to celebrate Hayden’s sisters birthday. She chose a nice Italian restaurant in Destin and decided that after dinner she wanted to walk along the beach because she loves the beach. We of course took her to the Crab Trap where we always like to go for the beach and walked in the sand. Hayden jokingly (or so I thought) asked what I would do if he proposed right now. Not knowing he was being serious told him, “Go ahead, right now. Do it.” He took my hand and got down on one knee in the place where we met a year before and asked me to be his wife.
