Oldest restaurant in Charleston! They are right next to the Charleston City Market (which you should definitely check out) and have a rooftop bar. They have live music on the bottom level of the restaurant.
Whether you’re staying in Mount Pleasant or Downtown, you’ll be close to the Ravenel bridge. Hayden and I did the Cooper River Bridge Run (our first 10k - decided the week of to participate) and in that, we had to run over this bridge. It has a beautiful view of downtown and the water.
A Charleston staple - the colorful houses you’ve seen in all the pictures!
This is where we got engaged! White Point Garden is on the battery and has a beautiful view of the water and tons of beautiful houses to roam around and check out. There are electric bikes available downtown, we have loved riding bikes through the smaller streets and riding our roller blades down here.
Fantastic steakhouse! We have gone here for anniversaries, birthdays, and celebrations. You will definitely need to make a reservation in advance to get a table. Would highly recommend!
A fun rooftop bar near the Charleston City Market! Addie loves their grilled chicken salad. They will occasionally have live music and have a small art gallery downstairs.
This is on top of the dewberry hotel. They have one of the best rooftop views in Charleston! You might want to book a reservation just in case, but should be able to walk in if not.
Hayden’s favorite burger place downtown!
This is on Shem Creek. Their trash can nachos and crispy brussel sprouts are amazing!!! Very fun outdoor atmosphere on the water.
If you have some free time and want to book an activity, kayaking on Shem creek is a great option! We did this for my 24th birthday and had a blast! You’ll get the kayaks (or paddle boards) for a few hours and every time we go we see dolphins.
No visible alcohol on the beaches and no glass! You have to have it in a koozie or in a cup.
No visible alcohol on the beaches and no glass! You have to have it in a koozie or in a cup.
This is our favorite restaurant by the beach. You will definitely need to book a reservation in advance to get in - but if you can, it’s worth it! The ricotta gnocchi is incredible and they have a great espresso martini!
Great outdoor sports bar - their French dip is fantastic and Addie loves their southwest spring rolls!
The BEST karaoke bar!!! Bangkok has such a great atmosphere. Need a song recommendation? No problem😉 Addie and Cassie have been working on that for a while. We have been here for birthday dinners and celebrations. You will definitely need a reservation, but they have a great location and cool rooftop bar you can checkout before or after your meal!
Another Charleston staple!
This brewery has a fun outdoor space with games!
This brewery is a part of the brewery trolley tour that runs almost every Saturday in Charleston!
Said to be the best barbecue in Charleston!!!
This is a two story bar - rooftop is super fun and typically has live music! They also have a hibachi food truck below!
Heads up - this is a 23 and up bar. Hayden and I went out with some new friends when we first moved to Charleston (22 at the time). We got denied and thought they were kidding! Regardless, dispensary is tons of fun, if you’re looking for a bar downtown try it out!
