Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us

Dylan Armstead

Best Man

I met Dylan Freshman year at Gonzaga, where we lived on the same floor in Coughlin our Freshman and Sophomore year. Although we initially bonded over our passion for soccer, Archer, memes, and Blue Mountain State, our friendship took another level when I introduced Dylan to League of Legends (sorry Julie and Lorenzo). Dylan has always been a grounding friendship for me, someone who is supportive no matter the need and situation. Through the years, no matter how long it has been since we've last seen each other, we immediately act like we're back in Coughlin joking and laughing about anything and everything. Dylan has been there through my highs and lows, seen me at my lowest, alway welcomed me to his home with open arms, and been Sarah and my biggest cheerleader. Because of that, I'm proud to not only call Dylan my friend, but my Best Man.

Rachel Hawley

Maid of Honor

Rachel is not only my younger sister but also a best friend, which made her a perfect choice for Maid of Honor. We have grown up together and remained close through all of it. If we're together, you'll most likely hear us speaking at the same time or quoting movies. That's how in sync we are! We grew up playing Barbies, dress up, video games, imagination games and watching a lot of movies and listening to a lot of music hence the movie quotes! It is crazy to think that we have gone from that to being here now. I have always been able to count on her to make me laugh, be a great travel buddy, understand my deepest thoughts and feelings, and to always stand up for me when I need it. I am so excited to have her be standing by my side on the wedding day.

Hayden Deitrick

Groomsman

If you base a friendship off of when you became friends on Facebook, Hayden is technically my longest standing friend of the Groomsmen, as we connected on our 2015 Gonzaga class Facebook page prior to freshman year. Upon meeting Hayden in our honors business program class, I immediately knew there was something special about him and immediately looked up to him. Through countless intramurals games and too many championship losses, along with several Honor's Business class presentations that we whipped up last second, living together in the basement of our Renaissance Men themed house Senior year, a craft brew or two too many, and billions of texts about Gonzaga basketball, Hayden grew to be and continued to be one of my closest friends. I feel honored to call someone as accomplished, kind, and caring as one of my closest friends and standing next to me on my wedding day.

Katie Yetter

Bridesmaid

I first met Katie at Gonzaga University. She was in a room down the hall from me in our dorm. After spending time with her, I knew I met my college best friend. Not only was she immediately a good friend but we would also have the most fun together no matter where we were. Katie always accepted me for who I was because not only is she a good person but we have so much in common. We bonded over all the same passions like beauty, fashion, food, travel, and the list goes on. So, even though we both transferred after one year, distance only made us closer. I now can't imagine my life without Katie. From facetiming everyday to traveling throughout the year to visit one another, we do everything we can to stay connected as much as possible. I know Katie will always have my back no matter what and I will always have hers. I can't thank her enough for that and for all the support she has given me through the wedding planning process.

Eric Kohan

Groomsman

I first met Eric late Sophomore year at Gonzaga while working on a project with Hayden in their dorm. I immediately saw him playing League of Legends and started geeking out with him. Little did I know that we would spend an absurd amount of time hanging out that summer in Spokane, spending too much time playing video games and potentially not enough time studying for our summer course (don't worry, we both got A's). Throughout several intramural championships, a baseball glove and football that "slipped" from his hands, and cheering on the Zags, Eric has consistently been by my side and been one of my closest and funniest friends. I have always looked up to Eric due to his caring personality, intelligence, and superior League of Legends skills, and am proud to have him by my side as a groomsman.

Katie Waddell

Bridesmaid

I met Katie in middle school when we were 11 years old. I remember approaching her because I loved the shoes she was wearing. We bonded and have been best friends ever since. We have gone through middle school, high school, college and now adulthood together. Through out all of that we would spend time together whether it was sleepovers, getting milkshakes at Burger Master, attending dances, traveling to places like the San Juans, Paris, and Mexico, and even traveling to visit one another from state to state. So it is safe to say that we will continue to be friends for life. I truly feel so blessed to know Katie. She is an amazing person who I can always rely on no matter what. Our friendship is never ending conversations, lots of laughing, and constant support for one another. She truly is a friend for life!

Braden Hunter

Groomsman

The first story of Braden interacting with me was before I was even born, when our mother asked him what we should name me. And although she (thankfully) did not go with my brother's suggestion of butt face, it did set the stage for our constant trash talking friendship. Braden has always been someone I've looked up to, whether it was motivating me to join the 4th grade Math is Cool competition because he did it, watching him beat Mortal Kombat and Aladdin on the Super Nintendo (making me want to do the same), or riding shot gun while he definitely wasn't driving well over the speed limit on country roads (and I definitely never did that either). He's always been one of the first people I reach out to for guidance or help, and has always been there when I needed him, even when it was my fault he had to revive me in Gears of Wars. I am proud to have Braden as a brother and a groomsman

Jessica Hawley

Bridesmaid

I first met Jessica when she and my brother Zach were dating. After Zach introduced us and we spent the day together, I remember Jessica turning to Zach and saying "I know why you like me." It was obvious that she was an instant fit with our family, which is why I was so excited that she and Zach got married thus becoming my sister-in-law. I love our double dates with Zach and Austin, whether we're going to the zoo or playing with their dog Nero at the park. Jessica is so easy to talk to and I love how I can go to her with any issue and she's there for me. I owe so much to Jessica for being so helpful during our wedding planning. She stepped in and supported us where we needed, which is exactly how she is as a person. I can always count on Jessica for anything!

Brooks Josephson

Groomsman

I met Brooks shortly after moving to the Seattle area at an LA Fitness. I was next to this behemoth of a man who was bench pressing 100 lb dumb bells for more reps than I could dream of, and I leaned over and jokingly told him to let me know if he wants a spot as he was "clearly struggling." I would have never known that not only would that guy end up being a future roommate and sounding board for advice about almost anything, but more importantly my gym partner. Through the years, Brooks and I have shared not only a passion for lifting, but also for going to Watershed, (crappy) reality TV, and skipping cardio, and I am so excited to have him standing next to me on my wedding day.

Jessica Hawley Gamer

Bridesmaid

Jessica is my cousin and someone I have always looked up to. She has always felt like an older sister to me and I feel like I could talk to her about anything. She has been there for me in some difficult times in my life and I appreciate her so much. I have learned so much from her and have always aspired to be like her. She has always been one of the strongest and most capable people I know. I felt so lucky to be one of her bridesmaids when she got married and now I feel even more lucky that she gets to be one of mine. Although she lives in Oregon, we stay in touch whether we're texting or having hours of long phone calls. She has a beautiful family and we're lucky to have hers and her husband Kevin's children, Noelle, Owen, and Harland to be part of the wedding as our flower girl and ring bearers.

Jake Dini

Groomsman

Jake and my friendship began the summer before Senior year in Spokane, where I had the pleasure of living in a house with him. Although he routinely befuddled me with his "responsible summer job" and "studying for the LSAT", we had a blast talking sports, being dudes, drinking a brew or two, and most importantly, discussing the Year of the Mariner. As time went by, we only became closer and closer after I moved to the Seattle Area as we started going to those Mariners games together in person (don't ask about the results), hitting the links, and of course, having a brew or two. Jake is one of the most intelligent and kind people I know, and I have been blessed to have him as such a close friend and groomsman.

Rebecca Hildreth

Bridesmaid

I first met Rebecca in high school and she may be one of the kindest people I have ever met. She is incredibly selfless and she always put others needs before her own. We were friends in high school but we grew even closer after college, which is why I am so happy that she has stayed in the Seattle area so that we got to spend even more time together, growing closer by day! We love discovering new restaurants together, drinking boba, going for walks, talking or laughing all day long and going on double dates. She is also an amazing baker and I can always count on her to teach me new great recipes. She has always been such a supportive friend. I love that we can talk to each other about anything with no judgement. I feel so lucky that I have her in my life and that I can count on her for anything!

Zach Hawley

Officiant

I once had a conversation with my sister Rachel about who we wanted our future officiants to be because of course we grew up talking about our future weddings! We both agreed that we would love if our brothers could be with Zach being mine and Josh hers. They have always been the best older brothers who have brought so much fun and care into our lives. When I presented the idea to Austin, he was fully on board. Zach is a best friend to both of us and a great supporter of our relationship. He honestly seems born to be a great officiant. We can't wait for him to formally announce us as husband and wife!
