We met on Tinder and had chatted for a bit. One evening, on my day off, I had just gotten home from taking Luna to the dog park and Haven was wanting to meet and hang out. I told him that I had to go to bed by 9, which was in a couple hours, and that I had just showered so my hair wasn’t done, I wasn’t wearing makeup, and I was in old sweats. He insisted that he didn’t care and just wanted to chill. So I agreed that he could come over but only till 9. He raced over to my apartment and brought some Cayman Jack margaritas. I met him on my patio and when he walked up, he asked to see my hand. I gave him my hand and he said to turn around for him. He slowly spun me around and said I looked stunning. I was already hooked from that but we went in and sat on the couch and started talking. We had the best conversations and it felt like I was sitting with someone my soul had known for thousands of lifetimes. We ended up talking till 4am, he went home, then came back at 6 when I had to get up for work and brought me breakfast. Haven ended up going to Sloan that weekend but asked to take me out Sunday night. We had been talking nonstop and I had already been gushing over Haven to my friends, sure that he was “the one”. He was going to show me how great the prime rib was at Outback Steakhouse. While at dinner, Haven said he knows we haven’t been talking long, but something about this feels different and he wanted to ask me to be his girlfriend because “why wait”. I was thrilled and felt the same way!

On the night of Haven’s birthday, we were both relaxing in the living room. I was already comfy, close to going to bed, and playing on my phone. Haven finished gaming with friends and came over. Haven asked to see the remote, turned on some music, and asked me if I wanted to dance. This isn’t an unusual thing for him to do, so I didn’t question it. We danced slowly and as the song climaxed, haven told me I looked beautiful, spun me around, and as I turned towards Haven he dropped down on one knee and pulled out the ring. I immediately started crying and asking him if this was really real. We were both shaking and teary and I probably told him yes half a dozen times. I am looking forward to marrying the man my soul knows and loves.
