We love kids -- we really do! However, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named on your invitation/online RSVP. Thank you for being respectful of our wishes.
There is no transportation service from any of the hotels. But, for your convenience we have rented out a parking lot right next to our venue. If you don't want to drive, we recommend Uber or Lyft. With the venue being downtown Milwaukee there will be plenty of driving services available at a reasonable cost.
We have rented out a parking lot right next to the St. James building. There are 2 lots next to the building. One is for the public library and the other is for our wedding. There will be signs to point you in the right direction. Parking will be free from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.
If your RSVP online says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we will only be able to accommodate those named on the RSVP. Thank you!
For men: a tuxedo or a dark suit is preferred. Please refrain from wearing any kind of jeans, plaid shirts, hats, and boots. For women: A formal evening gown, a cocktail dress, or dressy separates are great! There is no color scheme you have to use, but it goes without saying to not wear white, ivory, or cream colors.
Yes, we will provide an open bar during cocktail hour and the reception.
Doors will open around 3:45 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m.
With our specific venue, we will have our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception indoors. But, there is a courtyard that will be available the entire evening to enjoy some fresh air!
I have done my best to find hotels close to our venue for your convenience. We would advise you to book rooms early as many of the hotels during this time of year book up fast. I do apologize for the limited number of hotels listed on our travel tab. Several of the hotels in Milwaukee do not offer courtesy blocks or wedding blocks during peak wedding season. Additionally, there are other events going on throughout the city that have prohibited us from creating room blocks. Again, we would recommend booking through the rooms we have provided or finding a hotel close to the venue ASAP.
We would prefer RSVP'S by July 1st. At the very latest, we will accept them by July 8th. This will give us enough time to finalize several details with our vendors.
If you have any dietary restrictions/allergies we can accommodate you. We will make sure to let our catering staff know and they will customize a plate to you. The best way to let me know is by the email listed above.
We want you to take pictures and share our special day on social media. However, during our ceremony and reception we would love everyone to be present and remain unplugged from their mobile devices. We have hired a phenomenal photographer and videographer and want them to capture the moment.
We will have a table for cards and gifts if you choose to bring one. Otherwise, we have provided our address on our registry and would prefer any gifts be sent to our Boston home.
The conclusion of our night will be at 11:30 p.m. Every guest will need to be out of the building by 12 a.m.
There is no wedding palette or color scheme to follow. With our wedding being in the Summer we want everyone to feel comfortable in their favorite color. I only ask that guests stay away from wearing white, cream, ivory and any extreme neon pattern or color.
