We're getting married!

We met at a baseball fundraiser. Katie's nephew played on the team for years prior and it was Rob's son first year on the team. When Katie walked in she noticed the "new guy" as his eyes were piercing at her as she walked by. After joking around with some friends about seeing Rob, at the end of the night a friend finally pushed (literally) Katie into Rob. The rest is history...

The Cincinnati Reds were in the playoffs so Rob suggested to go down Holy Grail @ The Banks Cincinnati. While the Reds lost game 2, it was still decided to grab some drinks and Katie was craving some saratoga chips. Earlier in the day Rob told Katie he was getting off early to head down and for her to meet him on her way home from work. Although frustrated he was taking off work to drink beers, Katie agreed. He asked to meet her at Tin Roof before - Katie wasn't sure the obsession of going to different bars on a Thursday night, but met him there. Rob kept trying to take her to a nice dinner or grab drinks at a fancier affair and Katie kept shooting him down. Yard House - no! Christian Moerlein - no! Katie finally said she hadn't been to The Stretch across the street so off they went. Rob told Katie he wanted to stop by the Reds Hall of Fame to look for a hat and of course Katie shot that down saying they were closed. As they left the bar Rob grabbed her hand. As Katie went to turn to go to Holy Grail, Rob forced her to walk toward the Reds Stadium. Katie then proved to Rob the place was closed. Rob then suggested to keep walking to get a picture. At this point Katie knew something was going and kept looking at his pockets to see if she could see a bulge (box - get your heads out of the gutter - lol). Finally Rob walked in front of the stadium turned to Katie and cried telling her he loved her and his life wouldn't be complete without her. She said YES!!! Rob surprised Katie by having all of her close family and friends waiting for them at Holy Grail.
