As we are having our wedding celebrations across two days we have detailed the full schedule of this on our website, however the majority of our guests are invited to the garden party only. We wanted to have a small ceremony and dinner with only our family on Friday 2nd, and then to celebrate our marriage with the rest of our family and friends on the Saturday 3rd. When you receive your invite in the post it will specify whether it's for the Friday and Saturday, or only Saturday. Additionally, when you visit our website to RSVP, it will allow only allow you to RSVP for the days that you are invited to.
As we are planning a few events across the one weekend to celebrate our wedding, we ask that you please let us know your plans as soon as you can, but the deadline to RSVP is Friday 28th February 2025. If you haven't RSVP'd by this date we will have to assume you cannot make it.
A priority for our wedding is to celebrate with our family and closest friends, we can only include those who have been named on your invitation envelope.
For our wedding ceremony & reception on Friday 2nd May, the dress code is classic wedding formal attire. For our wedding garden party on Saturday 3rd May, the dress code is casual summer attire.
We have arranged for lighter buffet food to be provided shortly after arrival, and a food van to come in the late afternoon to serve hot food so you won't go hungry! We'll be providing some beers, bubbles, cocktails and soft drinks, but if there's anything specific you like to drink (or you enjoy a good booze) please bring it along.
To get to Beith on Saturday afternoon there are some public transport options which we've listed below, but to get home on Saturday night we would recommend organising taxis in advance. The majority of our guests will be going back to the Glasgow and Kilmarnock areas so it may be beneficial to book in larger groups. There's also the option to get a taxi to the closest train stations on the way home if you'd rather. Bus from Kilmarnock - the 337 McGills bus runs from Kilmarnock (outside the Palace Theatre) to Beith every 2 hours on a Saturday. The closest stop to Reece's mum & step-dad's house is on Eglinton St which is a 5 min walk. The last return bus is 20:58. Bus from Glasgow - the X36 bus runs from Glasgow to Beith every hour on a Saturday. You can get the bus from Buchanan Bus Station or on Waterloo St (bus stop WF). The closest stop to Reece's mum & step-dad's house is just along from their house about a 30 second walk. Unfortunately the last bus back to Glasgow is about 5pm. Train from Kilmarnock - the closest train stop from Kilmarnock is Dunlop which is about 6 miles. Train from Glasgow - the closest train stop from Glasgow is Glengarnock which is about 2.5 miles.
