Back in the day when there was no means of transportation, when a wedding commenced, the bride/grooms mom's side would get together and travel by foot to the bride/grooms house. While they travelled, they would dance their life out, have rap battles and let everyone in the village know that their loved one was getting married. When it would get dark, the women of the family would hold a Jago, a clay pot decorated with colors and lights, so they can see while traveling. Although we now have means of transportation and do not live in a village, we still carry this tradition alive to this day as a pre-wedding event. You will see the women carry the Jaggo, rap battles take place between the brides mom and dad side, and have a fun night of dancing!

This mixture is said to cleanse and brighten the body and therefore it is applied the day before the wedding. This is a cultural tradition that has carried down for decades. Choora is when red bangles are put on a bride by her mom's brothers. The red bangles signify a newly wed and is a cultural tradition kept alive for decades. It is an emotional moment that signifies the last event before the bride gets married off.
