The dress code is cocktail attire. Although the date does fall on Halloween, costumes are not suggested.
October weather in NYC tends to be rather mild. The temperatures can range from 40 to 70 degrees on any given day. Bring a coat and plan on layering.
The ceremony and reception will both be held in The View at Battery Park. The invitation begins at 4pm followed by the wedding ceremony at 4:30pm and then we eat and dance until 10pm.
The ceremony and reception will most likely be held indoors. If the weather is nice we may have an outdoor cocktail hour to take in the sights of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty at sundown. Coat checking is available at the venue.
We recommend arriving no later than 4pm. The ceremony begins at 4:30pm. There will be passed refreshments available in the venue’s Blue Bar prior to the ceremony.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know by returning your RSVP card soon after you receive your invitation, so we can plan accordingly.
The venue does not provide valet service but there are a number of parking garages in the area. If you are staying at The Wall Street Inn you can ask for a parking voucher at the front desk. For those staying at other nearby hotels, check with the lobby attendants for more info.
Stay tuned while we decide. We will let you know closer to the day.
We have a block of hotel rooms set up at The Wall Street Inn. When you call to reserve your room, mention the Harris/Jauch wedding. Check our Travel page on this website for a few other hotels that are within walking distance of the venue and for contact info at The Wall Street Inn.
After you receive your invitation we ask that you please mail in your RSVP card by September 30th, 2021.

Our recommended hotels are within walking distance of the venue. There are places to eat, drink, shop and plenty of sights to see downtown. For any travel to other parts of the city we recommend using the subway, hailing a cab, or summoning ride share services such as Uber or Lyft. If you'd like to go the extra mile you can download the NYC taxi app, CURB. You can summon a taxi and input your destination address just like Uber and Lyft.
During the ceremony we would like for all cellphones, cameras, ipads, etc to be stashed away and turned off. After that you may take as many photos as you like! We would love to see any photos you take so be sure to use our wedding hashtag (TBD) on social media so we can track them down.
You can contact Dawn or Brian at anytime via phone, email, or social media. A month leading up to the wedding we may direct you to our wedding planner just so we don’t get overwhelmed with the final stretch of planning.
