We met in 10th grade but didn’t really like each other until 12th grade when we eventually became good friends. It was a slow pursuit throughout our senior year, and a few weeks after our graduation, we went out on our first date. We spent the next year and a half learning how to date 160 miles apart and another 8 months after that learning how to live 20 miles apart. We got engaged on August 12, 2019 at Fort Caswell in our favorite spot on top of one of the forts overlooking the ocean at sunset. It was so dreamy!
