Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Erica Harper and Christopher Riggins
We've curated a list of places to eat, sites to see, and things to do while you're in Beaufort. We hope you will take in the scenery of the Lowcountry and see why it tops our list of favorite places to vacation with family and friends!

Rain -N- Bagels

221 Scott Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Blackstone's Café

205 Scott Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Lowcountry Produce Market & Café

302 Carteret Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Pro Tip: order the freshly made glazed yeast doughnuts

Chocolate Tree

507 Carteret Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Since 1980, The Chocolate Tree is Beaufort's one-stop shop for fine chocolates, and other confections made in-house - over 60 choices! Might we recommend the sea salt dark chocolate caramels, chocolate-covered apricots, raspberry chocolate truffles, or English toffee. You can't go wrong!

Wren

210 Carteret Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Reservation for dinner is likely needed.

Plums

904 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Literally the best fried shrimp and pimiento cheese. (Not together, but you could ...)

Old Bull Tavern

205 West Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Would recommend the Margherita or Sardinian pizza as an appetizer for the table.

Johnson Creek Tavern

2141 Sea Island Parkway, Saint Helena Island, SC 29920

On the way to Fripp Island, this is a vacation staple! Hang your decorated/signed $1 bill on the wall for a memory to come back and see.

Captain Dick's River Tours

1006 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC 29902

Departing daily from the Downtown Marina of Beaufort, this 1.25 hour tour aboard the Prince of Tides offers you a scenic tour of Beaufort and the Beaufort River - many say you haven't fully experienced Beaufort until you've seen it from the water. Big perk - you can BYOB! Call (843) 812-2804 for scheduling.

Hunting Island State Park

2555 Sea Island Parkway, Saint Helena Island, SC 29920

Enjoy the sun and sand! Before you make the 25-minute drive from downtown, grab breakfast and coffee (or a Pub sub + sweet tea) for a picnic. Take a walk on the many nature trails or soak up the sun along the five miles of pristine beach.

Walk or Bike the Spanish Moss Trail

A 10-mile, paved path dedicated to those who want to walk, run, bike, or stroll - offering spectacular Lowcountry water and marsh views, coastal wildlife viewing, and historic spots as it winds through Spanish moss-draped neighborhoods. The trail is open for recreational fishing on various trestles, too!

For all the days along the way
