Ben and Marina met in late 2020, just a few months after they moved to Columbus, Ohio. For Ben, it was a return to home and family after leaving his job in New York City. For Marina, it was the start of something new, where she could become a part of the local cartoonist community. Just a little after Thanksgiving, they had their first video-chats and began walking to the downtown Columbus Commons to chat and walk in circles around the Christmas decorations. Now, they live together in the Kenmore Park neighborhood of Columbus, with great neighbors and an amazing support group of family and friends. They love cooking together, and hosting parties with plenty of food and drink. Marina works on her art at home, teaching occasionally at the Columbus College of Art and Design and going downtown to train clients at Beyond Limits Training. Ben works for Abbott Nutrition and enjoys playing video games and spending time with their black cats Maizie and Scribble. They are excited to build a simple life together, centered in their values of compassion, generosity and togetherness.
