Tom & Jacque went to middle & high school together. They have many random memories in the same classes and same events. Tom & Jacque were both office aides their senior year of high school, the only picture of Jacque in the yearbook is with Tom. There are much more of him, he was much more outgoing than she was back then! Tom went to Texas Luthern University where he majored in physics and played baseball. Jacque was just up the road (20 miles away) at Texas State University where she finished her degree in dietetics. They were in the same area there for at least 2 years and didn’t know it. They actually have a lot of the same memories at this time too like floating the river, Wurstfest, Texas two-stepping, and Texas country concerts. Jacque actually ironically & oddly enough saw Tom graduate college as she was there watching someone else graduate. Jacque moved home for the summer of 2019 as some major life changes were taking place. She wasnt sure where to end up and was interviewing for jobs. She and Tom both always loved the San Marcos & New Braunfels area, so fate dealt a sweet hand when the first offer she receieved as a diagnostician was in New Braunfels. Ironically both Jacque and Tom have taught science and are both in the field of education. Its also awesome that both moms of bride and groom live in Lampasas where Tom currently teaches physics and coaches baseball. Tom & Jacque just bought their first home in canyon lake/spring branch where they plan to establish their lives. Tom plans to get a job in the same school district or area as Jacque ASAP.

I (Jacque) told my cousin Katherine I wanted family pictures of us and asked if she would take a couple of Tom and I. She is a very gifted photographer & said she would- so after about 20 min into taking pictures in the freezing cold I asked if she knew any cool poses or ideas for fun pictures. She said “yeah actually come take about 3 steps forward”- she pushed her foot down in the same spot 3 times (very specific- which I was thinking- why this exact spot....?) She then said I’m gonna put him in a spot- so again Im starting to think—- hmm what kind of picture is she trying to create? At that moment I had the most intense gut feeling I’ve ever had in my life. Kat was backing up and saying “yes right there, ok Jac turn around”, and he was on his knee with the ring I saw and fell in love with months ago. He was so nervous and shaking, and I was in total shock! What a whirlwind of emotion!!! It’s so special and precious he did this with my family and at my grandparents land in Missouri. I couldnt have asked for anything sweeter! The picture below shows Tom nervously grabbing the ring from his pocket to make sure it was still there before he proposed.❤️
