We're getting married!

Katie and Matt’s love story began in the most modern of ways: Instagram, when Matt sent Katie a thoughtful message (a single fire emoji). Though she usually ignored messages from strangers, Katie, intrigued by his warmth and impressive beard, replied. Their conversation flowed easily, and within days, they planned a pizza date in Olney. Over hours of talking and laughing, it became clear they had a special connection. Their relationship blossomed with memorable dates. Matt planned a thoughtful picnic with Katie’s favourite sandwiches, and though he hilariously failed to handle a spicy curry during an Indian dinner, Katie found his effort charming. A month later, they made it official. Nine months after their first date, they moved in together, and a year later, turned a house into a place they today call home. In this time they have embarked on travel adventures, had many a RuPaul’s Drag Race marathon, and made countless wine fuelled dance floor memories. After seven years together, Matt proposed during a trip to Japan, kneeling in the picturesque Nara Deer Park. Overjoyed, and relieved the wait was finally (!) over Katie said yes. Now, as they plan their wedding, they’re excited to kick off their next chapter as husband and wife—ready for more laughter, love, and probably plenty of debates over what to have for dinner!
