Elyse and Danny met on Bumble in June 2019. Their first date was at Tacos, Community & Beer. They sat talking for hours, long after dinner was over, because they weren't ready for the conversation to end. Even though they both worked two jobs & had opposite schedules, they made it work. They started hanging out more frequently whenever they could find time — quick lunch dates, going to the drive-in, late-night FaceTime calls, or drop-ins at our part-time jobs. They shared a love of Christopher Nolan movies, 2010s rap and early-2000s emo music, and Super Smash Bros. Danny swept Elyse off her feet, and those lunch dates soon turned into weekend road trips and romantic dinner dates. Somewhere along the way, it became increasingly obvious that this would be their forever. In October 2024, after five years together, Danny proposed to Elyse on the front porch of their apartment. They had just spent hours stargazing during the rare appearance of the Northern Lights in this region. It was a night just as unforgettable as it sounds! They had a previously planned trip to New Orleans, and they celebrated their engagement there before coming home to tell the rest of their friends and family in person. This fall, they'll be celebrating their seventh year together. They are beyond thrilled to celebrate their first moments as husband and wife together with all of their favorite people.
