We met for the first time in high school while playing Rock Band in the basement of the Holme's house. We spent the evening laughing with friends and getting to know each other. Eventually getting close and exchanging numbers while watching the Dark Knight. Over the next two years we continued to grow close and spend as much time as we could with one another. We spent time watching movies, going to the lake, battle-sledding and Luke even joined the Ferris Pre-School Program for us to spend more time together. We ended Luke's high school career by attending his senior prom together. After high school we said goodbye as Luke headed to WSU and I had two more years of high school. Even though the physical distance between us had grown, we stayed close friends for years. Seeing each other on breaks and visiting each other, before reconnecting when he moved home for a brief period after graduation. But this time we knew we weren't saying goodbye so easy. We dated long-distance for the next two years until Luke graduated (again) and moved home. Since then we've moved in together, become parents to two adorable fur-babies, had another graduation and so many amazing adventures together.

In December of 2020 we went to our favorite place, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to spend a few days and see the Christmas lights at the CDA Resort. We spent the day exploring downtown, watching college football and Luke even had his first ever Hudson's Hamburger. When it finally got dark out, we headed for the dock. As we walked down the dock, Luke began to slow down, as I blazed ahead looking for the Grinch in the lights. He grabbed my hand, stopped and turned me around, hugged me, gave me a kiss and got down on one knee. I said, and ugly cried, "Yes," and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in CDA!
