An interest led to a connection led to the start of a conversation and we have the Hinge dating app to credit for the matchmaking. After a few weeks of talking and vetting each other out we decided to meet for the first time with takeout sandwiches in hand at the Land Park duck pond. After a few hours of conversation both left ready to see where this might lead.
It didn't take long into dating that Kristin and Travis could tell this was destined for something more. The initial spark grew month after month and thanks to a global pandemic, the two got to spend lots of time together. A year and a half, a new dog child and one fire academy later and the timing was right. Despite Kristin's prying questions Travis kept his proposal plans to himself finding the perfect moment to pop the question. Half Moon Bay holds a lot of memories for Travis having spent many hours with his Dad and sister exploring beaches and the best clam chowder. The stars aligned when Kristin made a plan for the two to take a trip to the area for Travis' birthday and after one long day of beach hopping and surfer watching they ended up at San Gregorio beach. A few more hours of stalling and sand castle building, leading Kristin to truly believe the proposal was not in the cards, it was time. At the edge of the bluffs, overlooking the ocean Travis got down on one knee and the rest is history.
