The most special part of the island to us is The North Shore. Our family lives and vacations there and we highly recommend staying or exploring that part of the island. -Waimea Bay is amazing for a beach day and jumping off rocks (bring a towel, umbrella and sunscreen, snorkel) -Sharks Cove for snorkeling -Food Land North Shore (the best grocery store in the world, go to the deli counter for some fresh poke) -North Shore Pill Box Hike -Lanikai Beach -Diamond Head Hike -Pipeline (where Josh proposed)
We recommend staying at the Alohilani Hotel in Waikiki the night before and night of the wedding (Wednesday & Thursday). Our venue is on a remote ranch with no ubers available, we will be providing transportation to and from the wedding from the hotel. Waikiki is on the southwest side of the island but recommend staying or exploring other parts of the island or other islands during your visit to get out of the city life in Waikiki.
YES! Other islands such as Maui, Kauai and the Big Islands are very close, about a 40 min plane ride away. Any other island would make a great trip for before or after the wedding
