Visit some cool places in downtown Colorado Springs! Some of our favorites are Fat Sully's Pizza, Denver Biscuit Co, Josh and John's Ice Cream, COATI, and Avenue 19.
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Colorado Springs. Natural red rock formation with paved paths.
Quaint town with lots of local shops and restaurants. Just minutes away from Colorado Springs, this is a great place to see local shops and small restaurants. Also, try water from the natural springs!
Pikes Peak is a 14er right outside of Colorado Springs, you can drive up the mountain (with a 4wd vehicle), or you can take the Pikes Peak Cog railway up! The Cog Railway is about a 2 hour trip, and you need to book a couple weeks in advance. I recommend getting a corner seat on the train that has 2 cars, this way you have windows both on the side and behind/in front of you.
Visit the highest Zoo in the country. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was voted 4th best in the country and has tons of great animals and activities for all ages.
It's a cool little town just minutes away from Colorado Springs! Lots of mom-and-pop shops, restaurants (our favorite is Mother Muffs), and some of the best chocolate at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
In the mood for a hike? Seven Falls is a MUST when in Colorado Springs. Make sure to prepare, as this is a more moderate hike that consists of 200+ stairs, followed by a 3-mile round trip hike that oversees all of Colorado Springs.
