FAQs

Question

Where is it best for us to stay?

Answer

Hotel Coolidge in White River Junction is our "hotel of choice" which means if you let them know you're with the McMeekin/Cieslik wedding, there's a small discount available. You need to book directly through them to receive the discounted rate. We recommend booking sooner rather than later! Airbnb and Vrbo also have a variety of options that we recommend you check out.

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

We are clear that our collective health is more important than our celebration. For now, we are requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated and boosted and we will stay tuned to the state of COVID and any changes that may be necessary. This may include asking everyone to do a covid test prior to the events.

Question

Will I be able to charge my cell phone at the farm?

Answer

Good question! Nope! The barn and the site in general, does not have electricity. There is a generator that we will be using for speakers (shaking and grooving is a necessity, after all), but that's about it. Therefore, do not forget to charge your phone ahead of time!

Question

Is there cell service at the farm?

Answer

Ah, what a great question! It is very possible that you will NOT have cell service during parts of your drive out to Landgoes Farm, and you may not have service at the site either.

Question

What kind of bathroom options will there be?

Answer

There are two portajanes (as we called them at my all-girls summer camp) on site, including one that is accessible for wheelchair users. Also, Mother Nature abounds for those happy to have a quick pee amongst the shrubbery.

Question

Is the wedding site accessible for wheelchair users and people with altered mobility?

Answer

Great question. The site is hilly and there isn't much pavement. However, we believe the barn is accessible for wheelchairs, since it has a navigable threshold. Right now, we're planning on having the ceremony up a grassy hill. This might be a bit tricky for wheelchair users or others with altered mobility, but we are confident that there will be team of people ready to offer support and celebrate the radical beauty of interdependence.

Question

What is transportation like in the region?

Answer

Great question. The venue is in a rural location. You will definitely need a car to get there. We recommend finding some buddies and renting a car together if you don't have access to one. If you don't have any buddies to connect with, let us know and we can try to help you find some folks to connect with!

Question

What About Gifts?

Answer

Thanks for thinking of gifts, that's extremely nice. Truly your effort, time, and money in traveling to Vermont is the biggest gift you can give us. However, if you'd like to give us something as we enter this new phase of our relationship and life together, you're welcome to donate through our registry. We will donate 1/2 of what we receive to Collective Justice Northwest, an incredible community that supports individual and collective healing and accountability after serious harm. They've been supporting our household in Yakima, and we are blown away by them and their work in every way. If you have a minute to check out their website, we recommend it. https://www.collectivejusticenw.org
