We met when Jonathan contacted me on a dating website. Jonathan was the first date I agreed to go on in several years. We spent our first date perusing the Walker sculpture garden, discovering we both graduated from Bethel, and talking about our hopes and dreams of the future. We ate at Chino Latino and Jonathan tried calamari for the first time-- one of many culinary "firsts" he would have over the course of this relationship! Our future was cemented when I made him my specialty-- enchiladas verdes-- on the third date.
While on vacation in St Lucia, Jonathan brought me to the overlook at the top of the villa where we were staying, and asked me to marry him. I said "yes," overlooking the Pitons, in the middle of the rainforest. Best proposal site ever.
California's central coast has always held a special place in my heart and it has been my dream to get married here since visiting many years ago. It's breathtaking beauty and untouched shorelines are a true testament to the beauty of God's creation. Jonathan and I try our best to be "doers" and not just dreamers, so travel and adventure has been a part of our relationship from the beginning. We cannot think of a more beautiful or meaningful place to become husband and wife.
