I was a rising senior in high school, when I met Chase for the first time. My family and I were on our way back from a volleyball tournament in Louisville over Memorial Day weekend, and decided to make our annual trip to Loogootee for race day. We had missed the race due to traveling back, and missed our cookout at the lake. Therefore, we were SO hungry and needed food. Most food establishments in Loogootee were closed, except for a pizza joint called, Pizza Junction. Mom ordered the pizza over the phone, and then asked me if I wanted to join her to pick it up. When we walked inside Pizza Junction, I saw the CUTEST boy behind the counter, and I really believe it was love at first sight. I didn't say a word to him, but Mom figured out who he was for me (thanks mom)! When we got into the car with our pizza, I told my mom, "I am going to marry that boy someday", and I truly meant it. She of course thought I was crazy. A few weeks later due to some social media stalking, Chase and I began to text and snap chat every day. We started dating soon after. A year to the day we met at Pizza Junction, Chase drove me out to my lake house under the stars and told me that he loved me. Three years to the day we met at Pizza Junction, Chase proposed to me on the Beach with all of our family around as the sun was setting. The best day of my life! And finally, what will be FIVE YEARS to the day we met at the pizza place, we will be tying the knot! May 29th will forever and always be our special day. What a difference a day can make, huh?
