One of Hanna's favorite views in the U.P. This is a half mile hike that has quite a bit of stairs but the view is worth the work.
Located in the state park that Logan and Hanna will have their wedding ceremony, this particular spot is a favorite of the couple. Whether you just want to take in the beauty or take the plunge by jumping off the rocks into Lake Superior, a visit here is worth it.
This is a slightly more challenging day hike that results in gorgeous views (especially in the fall).
Logan and Hanna both have a very serious sweet tooth! One of this couple's favorite things to do is to visit new ice cream parlors together. So stop in and grab a bite.
Hit up some of the great local mom and pop shops that downtown Marquette has to offer. So of the bride and grooms favorites are Donkers, Spice Merchants, Getz's, Huron Bakery, Snowbound Books, 906 and Company.
Lakenland is a free admission sculpture park that resides just outside Marquette off of M-28. This was one of the couples favorite visits when Hanna was living in U.P. It's a 37 acre park that consists of over 100 Scrap metal Sculptures that are loved by the public. Cannot recommend enough for all lovers and non lovers of art. The sculptures are awesome!
A small but fun casino located just on the outskirts of Marquette the has over 300 slot machines.
Pictured Rocks holds a special chapter in Hanna and Logan's love story. Many months were spent exploring this tiny nationally recognized lakeshore while Hanna lived in the park for her internship with the NPS. During this time Logan would drive up to visit and explore with Hanna. Some of their favorite spots/things to do consist of: Miners Castle Overlook Munising Falls Miners Falls Running along the beaches of Lake Superios at Sand Point 10 mile Chapel Hill Hike along the Cliffs Grand Sable Dunes
Take a 2 and a half hour boat cruise on Lake Superior along the famous cliffs of Pictured Rocks National lakeshore. Hanna did one of these cruises back in 2018 and loved it! Its by far the best way to see lake Superior's beauty. You can choose 1 out of 3 different cruises: Classic Cruise Spray Falls Cruise Sunset Cruise
On your way up to Marquette from the Lower Peninsula, the couple recommends stopping at Kitch iti Kipi. Kitch iti Kipi is Michigan's largest Natural Spring that is equipped with a supper fun wooden raft that takes you across the crystal clear spring to look at all the trout located in the body of water. This stop was a common one made by the Warren family during the brides childhood.
If you have time and are planning on touring the Upper Peninsula, the bride and groom recommend using your time to stop in at Tahquamenon Falls. This beautiful waterfall system is one of the greatest in Michigan and also one of the brides favorite.
While traveling to/from the wedding take the time to ferry over to Mackinac Island. This jewel of the state is a must see if you haven't been. It's car free streets are filled with horse drawn carriages and bicycles as well as the smell of fudge filling the air, the experience is like no other.
On a free morning/day, take the ferry over to Grand Island located beyond the bay of Munising MI. This beautiful island allows for great views of Lake Superior as well as fun activities such as hiking and kayaking. However its most famously known for its biking.
