At the beginning of the ceremony, our officiant will make an announcement asking everyone to put away their phones. We will have a wonderful photographer, who will take plenty of ceremony pictures. Kyle and Hanna want to be able to see each other when the barn doors open, not phone screens. It would be extremely upsetting for us to see people on their phones instead of living in the moment with us. After we become husband and wife and make our exit, you are more than welcome to take out your phones. This is our biggest wish, so please honor this.
Kyle and I love all the children in our lives, they make it so much better. But we have decided that we want this to be a fun night for everyone and so that includes giving "mom & dad" a break. We love seeing your kids in our everyday lives, but we would like to take this one day to just let loose and enjoy this special day with our friends, kid-free.
We are so excited to celebrate with friends and family, our decision to spend the rest of our lives together. We have decided to keep our wedding on the smaller side so that we can truly enjoy everyone there with us. We would love to have every single person in our lives there, but that is just not possible. When you receive your invitation, it will delegate how many RSVPs are reserved for you (EX: Blank of 2). We understand everyone would love to bring people to help us celebrate our love but please respect the number of invites you are given; it has taken us a lot of thought and time to decide on all those invited.
Those who are attending our wedding, know we are simple people. As long as you don't wear white, we'll be happy! Semi-Formal/Cocktail.
The venue does provide golf cart assistance for anyone who needs it.
Our ceremony will start at 4 pm. We will have photos after. We are providing a buffet-style dinner of barbecue and chicken. We will plan to eat around 5:30 pm. There will be a cocktail hour after the ceremony with a grazing table and a few snacks.
We will be providing alcohol to you all for our reception. We will have a bartender there to serve. Per our venue, there will be NO liquor. We will have beer (Storm Brew + Miller Lite + Coors Banquet), Wine (Red/White/Spicy Rose), and a variety of seltzers/ciders. We do ask that everyone is mindful of how much they drink and how they are getting home. The venue does not allow cars to be left, keep this in mind. Safety is our first priority, and we want everyone to have a good time.
Our ceremony is planned for outside on a beautiful overlook connected to a gorgeous white barn. If it does call for rain, we will move the ceremony inside the barn, there is still ample space, and would be just as beautiful.
There will be designated smoking/vaping areas. There is no smoking or vaping in the barn or other inside areas. This is per the venue owners. During the ceremony, there will be no vaping or smoking even if outside.
We will of course miss you, but we understand. PLEASE let us know, especially if you have already RSVP'd "yes". If you haven't, just RSVP "no".
