A friend of mine and Chris's now sister in-law thought Chris and I would be a perfect match. With a quick add on facebook and a few messages exchanged Chris asked me on a date. He planned it out perfectly... July 25, 2020. He told me to meet him at El Maguey Mexican Restaurant in Smithville (it's actually called Lafuente Chris can never get it right). He planned for dinner and we would go to the winery after. I remember this day like it was yesterday. Not only did Chris give me the wrong name to the restaurant he lives 8 minute from there. He was 10 minutes late to our first date. At dinner his face was a good shade of red and you could count on one hand how many times he actually looked in my direction. After dinner we got in his truck to go down the street to the winery. He was so nervous he drove past it twice. :) While we sat outside talking and enjoying wine slushies those friends that set us up did a check-in to see how the date was going. They were at dinner together as well, both reaching out to figure out if it was a match. Chris and I laughed and said “I got a check in text ... what should we say?” Chris responded back with “great”. His typical short response. I being my smart ass self responded with "what were you thinking this is horrible!" While Chris and I planned out our responses before responding he was laughing at first but then started questioning if I was ever going to let them know I wasn't being serious. That night we exchanged numbers and the rest is history.

The pandemic did not stop us from falling in love. We became “official” September 1, 2020. We love to spend our free time together on the lake boating or on the jet ski, swimming, fishing and cruising around.

Over fall break we did a little getaway. We went to Lake of the Ozarks to fish and spend some time on the lake before winter hit. We had the best time making memories by exploring a new lake with our travel buddy Ryan. We did our first poker run. That’s when Chris decided he couldn’t catch any fish because he already caught the best catch of his life. On October 8th 2022 at sunset Chris got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever pain in the ass.
