Sleeping Bear Dune Climb
The Sleeping Bear Dune climb is one of the Bride's favorite activities in the area, offering spectacular views and a great work out. If you decide to climb the first large dune, you will overlook Glen Lake when you reach the top. If you'd like to enjoy more exercise and spectacular scenery, you may decide to continue past the first dune on a 3.5 mile hike. On this hike you will go up and down sand dunes until you reach the coast of Lake Michigan. You can enjoy a refreshing swim in the beautiful, clear water before making the journey back!
Pierce Stocking Drive
This gorgeous drive will take you 7.4 mi through a beautiful forest with scenic overlooks. One of the most stunning views is at the Sleeping Bear Dunes Overlook, which is just a short walk up from from one the parking lots along the drive.
Elberta Beach
Take a day trip to soak up some sun and swim in the lake, or visit in the evening for stunning sunsets.
Platte River Float
One of the Bride and Groom's favorite activities - bring or rent a float or kayak, load up a cooler with drinks, and float down the Platte River! You'll end up at Lake Michigan where you can then enjoy Platte Beach.
Stormcloud Brewing Co.
Enjoy delicious food and drinks on the patio at Stomcloud. They have great pizza, beer and healthy options as well.
L'Chayim Delicatessen
Excellent spot for Lunch and Breakfast, their Bagels and sandwiches are delicious! They have locations in both Frankfort and Beulah, both of which are close to the wedding venue. The Bride and Groom have visited the deli together on multiple trips to Michigan - we highly recommend their pickles!
