Amidst the COVID chaos, Sam and Hana connected and scheduled a date (thank you internet), which was then rescheduled, and rescheduled, until finally the two met for the first time at Clark Park in West Philly. Both masked while sitting outside and 6 feet apart (remember when), Hana recalls Sam's bright, sparkly eyes and calming warmth and Sam recalls Hana's infectious smile and lively spirit. Sam walked her home that night, and needless to say, the two did not want to be six feet apart or greater after that first date.
Sam took Hana (and Ned) to one of their favorite romantic vistas at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. All three packed into Blue Jean, Sam's trusted 89' Volvo, to head out on a classic family Sunday adventure. Despite the bathrooms being closed and the steady trickle of rain overhead, Sam and Hana set out to look at "the end of the world." Sam, ever the eye for beautiful scenes, found the perfect private space where he got down on one knee and asked Hana to marry him.
