We're both middle children, so we're both somewhat like a stray cat; a little afraid of attention and not willing to compromise. Eloping was always something we liked the idea of, and after a brief attempt at planning a wedding, it only made sense. Our day was low-stress and exactly what we hoped for.
We met between 8th and 9th grade in 2012. One of Katelin's best friends moved into the same neighborhood as Noah. We met in a group of friends, added each other on social media, and then didn't talk for four years! We reconnected our senior year of high school when Katelin slid into Noah's DMs. 4 zip codes, 5 years of higher education, 4 ski trips, 1 pandemic, and 2 dogs later, here we are! We've been attached at the hip since 2016.
One of Noah's (many) vehicles rolled down a hill outside my house within the first 2 months of dating. Noah parked his car in the driveway and came inside and hung out for awhile. When he went back out to leave, his car was gone! Officially, the e-brake failed. Noah had to call his dad (who was also his insurance agent) and tell him what had happened and ask him to come pick him up. It was a real-life "Dude, where's my car?" but not all that funny at the time. Everyone was dumbfounded, from the neighbors to the insurance adjusters. It's one of our favorite stories. It has aged well and is hilarious now.
After 2 years at Community College, it was time to move on up in the world. Katelin had received 2 acceptance letters from the University of Oklahoma, and Noah wasn't sure what he wanted to do. Naturally, we applied to Oklahoma State University. We moved to Stillwater together in June of 2018, started school at OSU in August, and got a dog in September! Noah and I loved OSU, and Stillwater in general. We both attended Spears School of Business and received degrees in Marketing and Business Management. Loyal and True, baby!
In May of 2020, Katelin graduated from OSU. In May of 2021, Noah and Katelin got engaged. Shortly after that, Katelin accepted a position at a nonprofit in Oklahoma City and Noah graduated from Oklahoma State. Shortly after their move, Noah accepted a position in the city as well. In June of 2022, they closed on their first home in Canadian County.
