Question

What is Coon's Franklin Lodge?

Answer

Spread along Trout Lake, Coon's Franklin is a family-run "All American Plan" resort. Each of the 100-year-old cabins are rustically decorated and range in size from one bedroom/one bathroom to four bedrooms/four bathrooms. Each has a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a living room with a fireplace, and a screened-in porch. They provide daily maid service, complimentary firewood, a fridge, and coolers of ice along with complimentary breakfast. We are thrilled that we have the private access to the resort throughout our wedding weekend. The resort has plenty of activities for all guests (regardless of lodging location) such as boating, swimming, kayaking, water skiing, walking nature trails, tennis, and more. We urge all guests to come spend the morning with us on Saturday before the ceremony! *If you are staying off the property, you will have to check in with the front office and sign a waiver to utilize the waterfront.*

Question

Can I book my own cabin at Coon's Franklin Lodge?

Answer

Yes, please email info@coonsfranklinlodge.com to make a reservation. If you wish to stay here, it is a 2-night minimum, and we will work closely with Coon's Franklin Lodge to assign cabins. You will likely be sharing a cabin with other friends or family to house as many people as possible at the resort.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Weather permitting, we hope everyone enjoys the Northwoods over the whole weekend! Bring your bathing suits, work out gear, sweaters for a chilly night, and a nice outfit for the wedding celebration. We recommend stopping at a local grocery store (Trig's or Coontail Market) for snacks and beverages for your cabin.

Question

What meals will be provided for me?

Answer

A casual dinner will be served for all guests Friday at the Welcome Party and formal dinner meal will be provided at the reception! Please note that if you are staying at Coon's Franklin Lodge, there are no kitchens in the cabins, though breakfast in the Dining Hall on Saturday and Sunday, and a grab-and-go lunch Saturday will be included in your stay. We encourage guests staying off the property in a hotel in Boulder Junction or Minocqua to refer to the "Things To Do" tab and check out some of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots! Feel free to bring snacks and pack a cooler of your favorite beverages to have in your cabin or share down by the lake.

Question
