We met at work in July of 2021. I was a food runner at a European restaurant and he was a chef. A ticket came in one night and he made the food and when I served the customer the customer said it wasn't right. I went back and asked him “did you make this?” (I was a little annoyed). He said “Si'” and I said “Fix it, it’s wrong". I was a little snappy with him. He fixed the food and he probably didn't like me much at that moment. Our first interaction wasn't great, but I really wasn’t interested in dating at the time we met, anyway. As time went on, a work friend encouraged me to just give him a chance and go on a date with him. She actually said "Give him a chance, you just never know...he may end up being the man you marry some day!” I decided to give him a chance! He asked me out and our first date was October 13th, 2021. We hit it off right away and the rest is history!

It was a date night for us. I didn't feel like cooking and we had both been so busy and hadn't been out on a date in a while. He said, “How about we go to our favorite sushi restaurant?” I said “OMG YES!” We went to where we had our first date which was Ninza Sushi!!! We had our food and had great laughs and a fun time together. Then, the check comes and he all of a sudden gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him right in the middle of the restaurant and in Spanish at that (which completely throws me off!) I had to register what he was saying at first, then I was so excited and said "Si'!!!".
