FAQs

The Wedding Website of Halie Hoffman and Malachi O'Rourke
We are incredibly excited to be joined by our families and friends, many of whom already know each other! We encourage our guests to communicate with each other and consider planning their trips together. If you are unable to find the answer to your question on our wedding website, please email Malachi at malachi.orourke@gmail.com. If you have questions within a week of the wedding, please contact the Maid of Honor, Morgan Peck.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible, though preferably no later than January 20, 2025. Due to vendor requirements, we must have a final guest count by February 1, 2025.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you received a plus one, their name or "Guest" will appear under your name when you RSVP on the website. You are not required to bring a plus one; if you choose not to, please indicate so in the field provided. Please ensure you are RSVPing for yourself and your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Where should we stay? Do you have hotel blocks?

Answer

Our venue is located about 15 minutes away from downtown, offering a multitude of options for our guests to choose from. We do not have any hotel blocks, though a list of hotels we have researched and recommend can be found on the Travel page.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We encourage our guests to take the opportunity to show their style in Black-Tie Optional Attire (tuxedo, dark suit and tie, evening gown, midi or knee-length cocktail dress).

Question

What is the dinner menu for the reception?

Answer

We will have a buffet style dinner with entree options of Parmesan Crusted Halibut and Vegetable Napoleon (vegan/GF), along with salad, bread, and assorted side dishes. Parents bringing little ones will be able to pick for them either "kid's meal (plated)" for plated macaroni and cheese with baby carrots or "kid's meal (buffet)" if your child would prefer to choose from the buffet options or is under four and would like to share a plate with an adult. These options will be available when you go to RSVP online.

Question

Where can we park at the venue?

Answer

There is a small parking lot to the right of the venue, however, we ask that these be reserved for the wedding party and vendors. There is street parking and lots available near the venue.

Question

Will it be an indoor or outdoor ceremony/reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place indoors, however, Seattle is notorious for its wet weather. Please keep the possibility of rain (or even snow) in mind when packing for your trip. The temperature in Seattle in late February averages around 35-50°F. A current forecast can be found at: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/eastlake/98102/weather-forecast/2628275.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you have not yet sent in your RSVP, please make sure to mark "no" to let us know you will not be attending. If you have already sent your RSVP confirming your attendance but are no longer able to attend, don't worry, it happens! Please let us know as soon as possible by emailing malachi.orourke@gmail.com. Thank you!
