Tyler and Haley met Sophomore year of High School. They both had heard of each other but had never formally met. This year, they had Math class together. Towards the beginning of the school year, Tyler asked Haley for some help with his math homework. Haley, thinking this boy is really cute I should definitely help him with his homework. Tyler needed no help with any homework at all, in fact he is very good at math and helped Haley numerous times. All he wanted was to get the know her. A few weeks later he invited her over for an Oregon Duck football game to watch the game and meet his family for the first time. Oh boy, this family was loud, and fun, and welcoming beyond belief. Tyler asked her to be his girlfriend just before they both turned 16 year old. Little did they know at the time, their families have been intertwined long before they knew each other. They learned Haley's Great Grandma lived only a few houses away from Tyler's childhood home. They also learned part of Tyler's family grew up next door to Haley's family. Their lives were intercrossed without them even knowing. They were meant to be in each other's lives.

Tyler and Haley started dating the fall of 2010. They shared memories of being in high school, turning 18, graduating, moving in together and taking on the world as adults. 2013-2021 they were attending college, starting career's, moving (a lot), finding themselves, growing their relationship and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Haley and Tyler were celebrating their 11 year anniversary September 24th, 2021. They had had the conversation many times of when they would get married but Haley was patiently waiting for the moment. They went to dinner and shared memories of the past 11 years together. Haley could tell he was being a little weird but didn't really understand why. They finished dinner, went home like usual and prepped for going to an Oregon Duck game the very next day. A lot of their close friends and family were all riding to the game together in the motor home. Happy to all be together and have fun on the drive down. All if a sudden they were getting off the freeway much before they got to Eugene. Haley thought nothing of it because she was told we have to pick up some cornhole boards to bring with us. All of a sudden, everyone was outside and Haley was the last to leave the motor home. Looking outside, they were at a scenic view of the river. Beautiful trees surrounding us with our closest friends and family. Haley thought, "where's Tyler?". She kept walking towards the river and there he was, on his knee, asking for Haley to come over. She knew instantly what was happening. It was such a special moment. After the excitement of being freshly engaged, they went to the Duck game and got to celebrate all day. It was a day they will never forget.

June 17th, 2023 is another chapter in their love story. The beginning of them finally sharing the same last name and the start to their family. They are happy to celebrate their love with everyone and have a joyous day to their new beginning.
