Shopping, Dining and Activities

We are so excited to share a few of our go-to spots in Exuma with you! Please note that most shops and restaurants accept major credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), but American Express is not generally accepted. There are various establishments that only take cash, so we would highly recommend bringing some down with you, or planning to stop by the ATM located in downtown George Town upon arrival. Note that the US Dollar is on par with the Bahamian Dollar and is accepted everywhere.

Exuma Markets

Queen's Highway, George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Exuma Markets is the only grocery store in downtown Georgetown. While we will stock each February Point villa with basic necessities, should you need to replenish or want to stock up on anything specific, we’d recommend stopping by on your way to February Point. Please note that while Exuma Markets normally has a great selection of groceries (including produce), sometimes options are sparse, so we’d ask guests to be as flexible as possible!

242 Prime Spirits

Queen's Highway, George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Located right next door to Exuma Markets, 242 Prime Spirits is a great place to find a wide variety of wine, beer and liquor.

Straw Market

George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Operating since the early 1960s, the Straw Market in downtown George Town is a one-stop-shop to buy locally crafted handbags, baskets, coconut and sand jewelry, woven straw hats, and more.

Sandpiper Boutique

George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Located across the street from the Peace and Plenty Hotel in downtown George Town, Sandpiper is an adorable boutique where you can find beachwear, jewelry and gifts.

Exuma Yacht Club Restaurant and Bar

Queen's Highway, George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Another Tucker family staple, Exuma Yacht Club is the best place for fresh seafood and sushi, with live music on Wednesdays!

Chat 'N' Chill Beach Bar & Grill

Exuma, Bahamas

Perhaps the most famous beach bar in the Bahamas, the Chat ‘n’ Chill has been a staple for us for decades. Stop by for a Goombay Punch or to feed the sting rays. You can get there by water taxi from the government dock, or a boat shuttle if you are staying at the Peace & Plenty. The Sunday Pig Roast is our favorite!

Peace & Plenty Beach Club

George Town, Bahamas

Spend the afternoon by the water at Peace & Plenty Beach Club, located on Stocking Island. We love their fish sandwiches and conch salad!

Sandpiper Cafe

George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

An adorable cafe located in downtown Georgetown and right across the street from Peace & Plenty. Visit for breakfast but make sure you allot enough time - remember, island time!

The Snappy Turtle Bar & Grill

Georgetown, Exuma, Bahamas

The Snappy Turtle at St. Francis resort is an all-time favorite. Located on Stocking Island, they’re best known for panoramic views of the harbor and a killer fish wrap. You can visit by water taxi or by Peace and Plenty shuttle if you are a guest of the hotel.

Santanna's Bar & Grill

William's Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Johnny Depp’s go-to while filming Pirates of the Caribbean, Santanna’s is an Exuma classic just 20 minutes by car from downtown Georgetown. Go hungry and after your meal, visit the Tropic of Cancer Beach! The Tropic of Cancer Beach is a beautiful beach near Santanna’s that is famous for sitting directly on the Tropic of Cancer latitude line.

Mom's Bakery

William's Town, Exuma, Bahamas

Mom’s Bakery is famous for all of the desserts made by Mom herself. She’s best known for her rum cake, but there are plenty of other desserts to choose from. This is a great place to stop after a day at the Tropic of Cancer Beach.

Blu on the Water Restaurant & Bar

Rolletown, Exuma, Bahamas

The perfect dinner spot with incredible sunset views, Blu has an amazing staff and even better food. 20 minute drive from downtown Georgetown.

Minns Water Sports

George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

If you are an experienced boater and want to explore Elizabeth Harbour during your stay, we’d recommend renting from Minns Water Sports. Located right in downtown George Town, they have a variety of options depending on group size.

Island Boy Adventures

George Town, Exuma, Bahamas

If you are coming early or staying after the wedding, we’d highly recommend Island Boy Adventures for a boat trip up the Exuma Cays! During the day tour, you’ll get to feed iguanas, swim with the famous pigs, wade in water with the nursing sharks and snorkel in the beautiful cave of Thunderball Grotto–home to thousands of fish. Please note that this is roughly an 8-hour day trip.

Fly Fishing

Exuma is famous for its world-class fly fishing. Please reach out to Haley or Kyle if you’d like to book for a half- or full-day experience - you won’t regret it!
