Plan for semi-formal (think suits/blazers for men, gowns/cocktail dresses for ladies). It will be winter in Kentucky so who knows what the weather will be, but a coat check will be available at the reception.
We politely ask you NOT to take pictures during the ceremony. Please remember the sacrament of marriage is happening in the Catholic Church and the custom is to not take pictures during mass. We have hired a photographer to shoot the ceremony. We will share these pictures with everyone when we get them back. Once you get to the reception please take all the pictures to help you remember the amazing evening.
Yes! There are a few options. We will try to have signs pointing you in the correct direction. If you are staying at the Westin or Hilton Netherland Plaza we recommend parking at your hotel and walking the skywalk to the reception so you don’t have to walk outside. You can also park at the public parking lot located under the Westin. This will allow you to take the elevator to the Westin lobby and walk the skywalk over to the reception. This lot can be found by pulling into the Westin as if you are going to valet; however, if you look to the right you will see a sign for public parking.
While we love all the little kids in our lives we are only inviting those in the wedding party (nieces and nephews). We hope you use our wedding as a chance to enjoy a night out without the kids.
We will have small hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. A small salad will be served to the tables then you will be called by table to enter the buffet. Which will be mini pulled pork sliders, green beans, and mashed potatoes. We will also have sun dried tomatoes and feta stuffed chicken with a simple pasta side.
