Like most couples nowadays, Joey and Haley met on a dating app. Joey reached out to Haley initially, inviting her and some friends out to a bar. Haley and her friends showed up and although it was a rocky start, that night began a friendship between Joey and Haley that neither one of them saw coming. Over the next couple of months, Joey and Haley became closer and considered each other best friends. After a couple of months of nights out, driving around listening to music, movie nights, both realized they were more than friends. Joey and Haley began dating on April 13th of 2021, and the rest is history!

The time of year came around to take the annual family trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This is Haley's most favorite vacation spot, and it was even better in 2021 knowing Joey and his family would be joining too. On the second day of vacation, both families decided to do Anakeesta, an attraction in downtown Gatlinburg. After riding up the ski lift, Joey and Haley had decided to take pictures in front of the mountains. During pictures, Haley noticed that every single person had a camera snapping pictures and thought it was odd, but was happy for all the memories. As Joey and Haley are getting their pictures taken, Joey whispered to Haley that his "time was up"..Haley knew exactly what he meant. Joey then got on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was beautiful and perfect.
