We met at a game night through some mutual friends! The game night was at Haley's house, and Haley even texted her friend asking her to make sure she got there early so Haley wouldn't be alone with a boy she didn't know (lol). Sure enough, AJ was right on time and Haley’s friend was running a little late. We got to know each other until other people showed up and were partners for a few games together. The next week, we were both at game night again. Haley was definitely looking forward to seeing AJ again, and at one point during the evening AJ leaned over and told Haley's friend that he thought she was cute. AJ left a little early and texted Haley afterwards about what games he was missing, and the conversation carried over into the next day. The next day, AJ asked Haley out to dinner and to go see Dear Evan Hansen with him at the Ohio Theater- not too bad for a first date. We kept hanging out after that- And now we get to hang out with each other for the rest of our lives. Aww.

Haley knew it was coming one weekend in December, so AJ planned dates every Saturday and Sunday for the month so it would still be at least a little bit of a surprise. On the 19th we went for a walk in the Tall Pines Area of Walnut Woods- We had gone on the same walk back in August and AJ even asked "Would this be a good place to propose to you?". At one point in the walk, AJ told Haley to walk away a bit so he could take her picture. When she turned around he was down on a knee!

We are so excited to celebrate with all of you! You truly are our favorite people. We are so thankful that you're willing to spend a cold, December evening with us as we enter into this marriage together.
