Lake Creek Camp is in the Strawberry Mt. range in beautiful Logan Valley at an elevation of 5,200’, we are about 30 miles southeast of John Day, 20 miles east from Seneca and 33 miles south from Prairie City. All the roads coming into the camp are paved except for the last 2.5 miles on forest service road 924 which is a well maintained gravel road. ** No cell service once you leave any towns. ** Please, no pets allowed on the premises. Directions: *Via John Day Hwy 395 South: (total 30.5 miles) Head south on Hwy 395 (8 miles) Turn left onto County Road 65/Canyon Cr Ln, this becomes FS Road 15 (14 miles) Turn left on FS Road 16 (6.1 miles) Turn left onto FS Road 924 (2.5 miles) Turn left into Lake Creek Camp *Via Seneca: (total 20.5 miles) Head east on FS Road 16 (18 miles) Turn left onto FS Road 924 (2.5 miles) Turn left into Lake Creek Camp *Via Prairie City HWY 26: (total 33.7 miles) In Prairie City turn left onto Bridge St., follow Bridge St. out of town which becomes County Road 62 (0.6 miles) Continue on County Road 62/Summit Prairie Road (23 miles) Turn right onto FS Road 16 (7.6 miles) Turn right onto FS Road 924 (2.5 miles) Turn left into Lake Creek Camp Overnight accommodation: Dry camping, either RV or tent space is available.
