Grab lunch at Reading Terminal Market, one of the country's largest and most diverse indoor markets. Highly recommend a roast pork sandwich at Tommy DiNiC's or a pastrami reuben from Herschel's East Side Deli
Grab a beer at Spruce Street Harbor Park, a seasonal beer garden on the riverfront with hammocks by the water, many local food vendors and beer and cocktails.
Because it is literally next door to our hotel, I am obliged to say visit Independence Hall. Tour is about an hour and very informative
Scenic park in Philadephia's busiest neighborhood, great for people watching
Take your picture on the 'Rocky Steps' at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, facing down the Ben Franklin Parkway towards the skyline. Skip the PMA and go instead to the Barnes, the largest private Impressionist collection in the world
An excellent art museum dedicated to Impressionist art. Small and compact, you can see the whole collection in two hours.
Thank goodness for Philly liquor laws- grab a bottle of wine or four and have a great dinner. Our favorites are Pera (Turkish cuisine) in Northern Liberties, Giorgio on Pine(Italian), Cafe Ynez(BYOB margs!) Umai Umai(Sushi), Tom's Dim Sum(Dim Sum)
An afternoon in Fishtown! Start by grabbing a slice at Pizza Shackamaxon, best pizza in the city, then walk half a block and get some incredible ice cream at Weckerley's. Wash it all down with some gin cocktails at Philadelphia Distilling or a stein of German Beer at Frankford Hall
Uber to a rooftop bar with a skyline view: go to Bok Bar at sunset, an iconic Philly bar on the roof of an old high school
Philadelphia Magic Gardens for some incredible mosaic artwork spanning basically an entire Philly block. You might run into some wild influencers here
Walk down Elfreth's Alley- America's oldest residential street. Picturesque street that makes you feel like you're about to sign or steal the Declaration of Independence
Jose: John's Roast Pork, which ironically does the best cheesesteak in the city in addition to a great roast pork sandwich. Get both. If you don't have a car, go to Cleavers in Rittenhouse. Hailey: The best bar none is at Angelo's Pizzeria, although it is a bit tricky to get one since they don't do online ordering and only have one phone. 2nd Place to Jim's on South Street
