Things To Do

Queensbury is located just outside of New York's Adirondack Park. At 6 million acres, it is the largest publicly protected area in the contiguous United States. It is filled with beautiful mountains and lakes and a variety of ways to explore them. Interested in a little shopping and dining? Check out Glens Falls or go a little further to Saratoga which has one of the highest restaurants per capita in NY state!

Walk Around Glens Falls

Glens Falls is the town center of Queensbury and 5 minutes from our house. The Queensbury Hotel is located here as well as plenty of locally owned restaurants and breweries.

Discover Lake George

The village of Lake George is 20 minutes north from our house, but there is a lot of lake to explore beyond the village. Check out Lake George Steamboat Company for a tour of the lake or take a hike on one of the many trails Lake George has to offer.

Enjoy Saratoga

Saratoga is 30 minutes south from our house. It is known for its shops and wonderful restaurants - as well as the race track.

Visit Lake Placid

Lake Placid is just under two hours north of our house. While it is a bit longer of a drive, it is worth it. You can see the high peaks while you drive there. You can also visit the 1980 Winter Olympics venues and then catch a bite to eat in the village.

Tour the Adirondack Breweries & Distilleries

You would be surprised by how many breweries and distilleries are located in the Adirondacks. This list starts with the ones located in the Lake George region - including some in Glens Falls!

Explore the Adirondacks

There is more to offer in the Adirondacks than we could cover here so here's a website that can do that for us.
