When Brianna and Dave first matched on Hinge, neither of them expected anything beyond a casual conversation. Dave planned a surprise end of Summer trip to Cape Cod the week before Brianna was to head back to the classroom for the new school year. The weekend, like all weekends during the summer of 2023, was wet and dreary so the couple enjoyed what they could by exploring new places to eat and getting outside when the weather allowed. On Saturday, August 26th 2023, the couple spent the day browsing the shops of Chatham, MA while Dave silently hoped the rain would hold off. Dave brought Brianna to Chatham Lighthouse Beach where he told her that he had planned a sunset photo shoot. As they walked along the beach, Dave and Brianna watched the seals playing in the water. Dave wanted to capture the moment with a selfie, which was also his signal to the photographer he was about to propose. As Dave knelt to the ground, the sun burst through the clouds of an otherwise overcast evening. Dave asked Brianna to marry him during the Golden Hour and the newly engaged coupled enjoyed dinner at Twenty-eight Atlantic after their engagement photoshoot with the photographer!
