In January of last year, we saw each other for the first time! We were hanging out with friends at opening days of college, and we were all singing and playing instruments. From that sprung a conversation about music, and we found out we play a lot of the same instruments. Since music is a huge passion of both of ours, we appreciated the mutual love of music that we shared. We hit it off right away, but we didn’t talk much again until a few weeks later, when we happened to get into a random conversation about food! Ever since that conversation, we just haven’t stopped talking. Not sure how a conversation about food led to a marriage in a little over a year’s time, but neither of us could be happier about it!

Hey! This is Bethany! The day Hadden proposed to me was truly one of the best days of my life, and I’d love to share more about it with you if you’d like to know more! December 28 of 2023 Hadden was in town to visit me and my family, and we went to Pittsburgh to spend some time with my brother and sister-in-law. Once we got there, we decided to head to a local park to get what I thought were “family pictures.” Once we got there and had taken some group photos, Hadden and I stayed ourselves to get some extra photos of just the two of us on a really cute little bridge. When we were done “getting pictures” (which I found out later on was actually a video of the proposal), I turned around to walk back. I heard Hadden calling my name, and I turned around to see the love of my life on his knee, asking me to marry him. To say I was thrilled is an understatement! I can’t wait to marry him, and can’t wait for all of you to be there with us! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Ohio!
