1. Remove your shoes and cover your head. 2. Bow and touch your forehead to the ground when you enter the hall. 3. Sit on the floor with the 'Sangat' (the congregation). 4. Do not point your feet in the direction of the Guru Granth Sahib. 5. Stand up during Ardaas (prayer to God). 6. When offered the prasaad (at the end of the service), accept with both hands together.
Gurdwara: At the Sikh Temple, women and men are required to cover their heads, and dress appropriately so that you can sit on the floor comfortably (if you're in a western outfit, loose pants or leggings under a skirt are best). Reception: Cocktail attire.
