How We Met

What's meant to be, will be

In 2009, Josh chose the seat directly behind Danielle on the first day of nutrition class at River Ridge High School. They quickly became friends due to their shared love for nature and spending their weekends at the beach. Their friendship soon evolved into feelings, and those feelings turned into a relationship. But this isn’t your typical high school sweetheart story… They spent a couple of years together, but as life got more complicated, they ran into challenges that would eventually send them separate ways. Fast forward to 2017, when an event placed them in the same room for the first time in over four years. Since Danielle lived in Orlando, Josh knew this was his chance to let her know how he still felt. After all those years had gone by, things were different and they were grown. College was a thing in the past, careers were established, and so they had to get to know each other as if it was the first time meeting. The one thing that never changed was their deep connection and the love they had for one another. After a year of long distance, Danielle moved to St. Pete to be with Josh and the rest is history.

The Proposal

First comes a puppy, then comes marriage

On a typical Monday evening in May, Josh had the idea to bring their newly adopted puppy, Dawson, to Treasure Island beach for the first time. Danielle, who seems to uncover every secret, didn’t even question as to why they were going to a beach 25 minutes way, rather than the one down the street. After sunset, they started walking back to the car when Josh stopped to “pet the dog.” Little did Danielle know he was about to get down on one knee and ask her to be his wife. May 13, 2019 turned out to be everything but a typical Monday evening, it was the start of forever… -- We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Orlando!
