What Else To Know & Recommendations

Question

What To Do?

Answer

Below is a list of recommendations from our wedding planner, but we recommend you check out SayulitaLife.com for more recommendations. We've used this site a lot and find it highly reliable. -Surfing and Paddle Boarding - rent a board on the beach or if you want lessons check out seasayulita.com -Zip Lines and Horseback Riding - https://michaparrita.com -Beaches - Playa Sayulita is the main beach in town which will be the most convenient but also the most crowded. If you are looking for an excursion to a nicer and quieter beach, check out Playa De Los Muertos. Bring pesos for chairs and to purchase food/drinks -Tequila Tastings - visit Sayulita Wine Shop

Question

What To Eat?

Answer

Breakfast: Organi-K (acai bowls and smoothies), Miscelanea (fancy coffee + good food), and Rustica for a sit-down brunch Lunch/Dinner: Mary's (the best authentic Mexican in town), El Itacate (great tacos), Xochi (more upscale, great food), Don Pedro's (also more upscale) La Rustica is where the welcome party is and has amazing food, drinks, and vibe - David would go there every meal if he could!

Question

Where is the Ceremony/Reception and After Party and will transportation be provided?

Answer

The ceremony and reception is being held at Brisa Mar Palapa, which is a short 2 minute walk from Villa Amor and Amor Boutique hotels, and a 10 minute walk from Sayulinda Hotel. Transportation will be provided to all guests to the ceremony to ensure everyone is as comfortable as possible. Transportation will also be provided to the After Party at Xochi which is back in the town center closer to the Sayulinda Hotel. No transportation will be provided following the after party.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

In short, no. Sayulita is meant for walking (the roads are barely paved), but if you need it you can book a golf cart to get around. If you are staying at Villa Amor or Amor Boutique you can book a golf cart through them, and if you are staying anywhere else you can book through Pacifico - https://www.sayulitalife.com/pacificcoast.

Question

What about covid?

Answer

We will continue to update this as things change. As of right now (Feb 2022) there are no covid requirements for travel from the US into Mexico, but travelers are required to show proof of a negative covid test within 24 hours before departure back to the United States. Below is a link to an accepted at home test, we have brought these with us and it was very easy to use. https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-at-home-test-kit-2-pack

Question

Can I drink the water?

Answer

Absolutely not. Only drink bottled water!

Question

Should I get pesos?

Answer

Yes! A lot of places in town are cash only, while they do accept USD you will pay a higher exchange rate.
