Zach and Carly met through a mutual friend in high school- Carly was a senior and Zach was a junior. They both assumed they would part ways when Carly went off to Rutgers in the fall, but their relationship persevered. When Zach graduated the following year, he joined Carly in New Brunswick and they were able to enjoy their college years together. Upon both of their graduations, they moved back to their parents houses in Scotch Plains to save up to eventually move in together. They moved in together to an apartment in Fanwood in 2018, and then moved around the corner to another apartment in Fanwood in 2019. It was here that the couple got engaged in January 2020 after almost 8 years of dating. Their original wedding was planned for June 20th, 2021, but with the uncertainty of COVID the couple decided to delay their nuptials so that they could celebrate with friends and family in a more safe and healthy way. Luckily they were able to postpone the wedding 51 weeks to their new date of June 12, 2022. With all that extra time on their hands, they were able to find and purchase a beautiful house in Springfield in July 2021.
Our Wedding will take place at B'nai Tikvah Synagogue in North Brunswick, NJ starting at 3:30 pm. The Cocktail hour/ Reception is taking place onsite directly after the ceremony. With respect, we have decided to have our wedding be an adult only occasion, and we are requiring that all guests in attendance have received the full COVID-19 vaccine. We look forward to celebrating with all of our friends and family!
