Thanks, Social Media

July 2017

Thanks to a little Tinder/Instagram stalking, Jason guesses Brittany's Snapchat username. She makes the first move/message and after a week, finally realizes she's not actually talking to her co-worker, who's also named Jason.

Patience Pays Off

August-October 2017

After two months of fairly consistent snap chatting, which consisted mainly of Jason telling Brittany about his daily life while she continued to reject his offers for dates and go out with other people instead, she finally agreed to meet at her work for a morning coffee. Jason had mentioned a concert coming up and Brittany gave her usual, "I don't know, maybe, let me think about it" response which almost always meant no, however, she did end up agreeing to go after his final plea. Fast forward a short 24 hours, they were back together for a dinner date at Rio Tomatlan.

The Early Days

November 2017 - February 2018

Despite Brittany's stubbornness, she grew quite fond of her time with Jason and they were constantly driving back and forth from Canandaigua to Spencerport to spend time together. They spent their time going to concerts, hiking, checking out new restaurants, ice skating, holiday festivities, work parties, New Years Eve at the Strathallen, and more.

The Getaway

March 2018

Jason surprised Brittany with a wonderful Christmas gift of a trip to Hawaii for her birthday in March! Brittany knew this would be the end of their relationship because she knew just how horrible of a traveler she was (ask any of her family members and they will definitely not deny that). But by the end of the trip, Jason asked if she was sad he didn't propose (since it's Hawaii and all), and Brittany said "Heck no, but I think I would have said yes if you had asked". They both knew it was way too soon for that, but they did get matching tattoos!

Summer Love

April - September 2018

In the next five months, things started getting more serious - from family vacations with the kids to Toronto and Hilton Head, more concerts, weddings, summer activities and Brittany moving in with Jason ... their relationship was heading to the next level.

The Proposal

October 2018

Brittany's family rented a house in the mountains of North Carolina for a week in late October and little did Brittany know, Jason was planning to propose. The day started with mimosas and a delicious omelette with the whole family. They had been searching all week for a good spot for a hike together - unknowingly, they picked a real doozy. About 0.25 miles in, they were tired and Brittany was already regretting the decision. Slowly but surely they got about half way up and Brittany was not feeling good. They almost turned around but pressed on, knowing they were so very close to the top. Approximately 2 hours later, they finally reached the summit. Brittany took in the views for about 2 minutes before asking Jason if they could go back down because she still really wasn't feeling good. Jason's response to her urgency was mildly frustrating, but after she returned from a quick pit stop in the middle of a private wooded area, Jason walked up to her, hugged her and told her he wouldn't want to be here with anyone else. He then said, "I also wanted to ask you a question" and proceeded to get down on one knee, which was followed by a "no you are not, no you are not!" by Brittany ... and the rest is history, while also making for a much more enjoyable trek back down the mountain.
