January 2016 - Two college students go ice-skating for their first date. One of them, a fashion design student at Kent State University, loved ice-skating and had plenty of experience. Her grace and her beauty shined on the ice. The other, an audio/video student at the University of Cincinnati, feared ice-skating and had no experience. His confidence was foolish but his commitment to keep trying was endearing. Greta watched Josh fall a lot that day as they ice-skated around Cincinnati’s Fountain Square. Sometimes she fell with him. But no matter how many times they fell, they always picked each other up– bursting with laughter together. Neither of them being very shy people, they found it very easy to be their goofy selves with each other and quickly became inseparable. Even when they were physically separated by hundreds of miles in the years to follow, each long and lonely drive to see the other was always worth it. Now, Greta and Josh share their long drives with each other as they create memories across the country– with a goal to visit every state. When traveling, Greta and Josh can most likely be found on a hike, in an art museum or at a craft brewery. When at home, they might be listening to their eclectic collection of music, dancing in the living room, reading on the porch, in a local art museum or at a local brewery. In fact, Josh created a fake date to an art museum before proposing to Greta in the park outside the museum. And it was beers with friends that brought them together years ago. Greta and Josh can not wait to enjoy music, lots of dancing, plenty of new memories and some of their very own signature beers with our closest friends and family on September 24, 2022 when we tie the knot in a colorful, disco-themed night of celebration at The Syndicate.
